November 11, 2008--While it might be one of his better starts in recent years, Parker has been having trouble climbing out of the pit in the Round of 8.

In the past two tournaments, he is yet to win a game in that round. Last week, Walter Ray Williams, Jr. swept him, and tonight, Bill O'Neill used Parker as a pathway to his second consecutive TV finals, again by a sweep.

What must have been working all week let him down tonight. Numerous single pin leaves in crucial situations was his downfall, while O'Neill threw 22 out of the last 24 strikes to put him away.

Parker had two 300 games in this tournament, bringing his PBA perfect game total to 82.

BOHN ZONE CHICKS
WIN USBC WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIPS

August 14, 2008--The Bohn Zone had representation in the 2008 USBC Women's Championships in Detroit, and they came away as Classic Division Champions. The team of Chrissie Kent of Newark, NY; Leslie Bohn of Jackson, NJ; Kristin Nieter of Homewood, IL; Kari Watson of Kettering, OH; and Laura Starbuck, of Hilliard, OH took the top position by over 50 pins.

They bowled early in the tournament, and waited until the end to find out they'd be the eventual champions. Possibly advantageous was the "sweet" advice they received from one of the husbands, PBA star Doug Kent, who watched the team compete.

At any rate, it was a Bohn Zone victory, and well deserved.
